SmartBeam provides the full range of feedtroughs necessary to operate any electron beam evaporation system architecture:

1. High voltage feedtrough

The high voltage feedthrough provides on the vacuum side two M8 copper screws including stainless steel washers and nuts. Fixing is from the atmosphere side on the M32 thread for 32mm diameter holes or M24 thread for standard 1″ holes. Filament power supply cable is secured using a cable clamp gland.

Electrical Specifications:

  • Operating Voltage (any pin to chassis / PE) 10 KVDC
  • Operating Current (filament current) 70 Amps DC

2. Two independent channel magnet current feedtrough

The magnet current feedthrough provides, on the vacuum side, a 4 pin LEMO vacuum type connector for independent two channels deflection coils set-up. Fixing is from the atmosphere side on the M32 thread for 32mm diameter holes or M24 thread for standard 1″ holes.

  • Operating Voltage 24 VDC
  • Operating Current (individual coil) up to 4Amps DC

 

3. Power / encoder signal DC motor feedtrough

The DC motor feedthrough provides the current and signals for “In Vacuum Drive” electron beam gun family EBS. On the vacuum side, a 10 pin LEMO type connector integrates the 24V motor power and relative / absolute sensor signals. Fixture is from the atmosphere side on the M32 thread for 32mm diameter holes or M24 thread for standard 1″ holes.

  • Operating Voltage 24 VDC
  • Operating Current up to 1Amps DC
  • 6 input signals from encoders
